Appy Change Message in the Vectric Software

Overview

This video explains the “Apply Changes” prompt that appears in Vectric Aspire V12 when modifying a tool selected from the Tool Database and then attempting to cancel or close the dialog. It demonstrates how the Apply and OK buttons persist changes, while Cancel triggers the confirmation message.

Steps

1. Open the Tool Database by clicking its icon.
2. Select a tool (e.g., a half-inch end mill).
3. Modify a parameter, such as changing the Pass Depth from 0.25 to 0.125.
4. Click Cancel – the software displays the Apply Changes prompt with three options: Apply, Disregard, or Cancel.
5. If you click Cancel in the prompt, no changes are made.
6. Click Apply to confirm the change, then close the Tool Database.
7. Re-open the tool to verify the pass depth has been updated to the new value.
8. Repeat the process, changing the pass depth back to 0.25 and clicking OK.
9. Re-select the tool to confirm the change has been applied.
