Axiom Presents Armed with 3D Modeling Skills

Overview

Mike Mazzalek from Axiom Tool Group demonstrates how to build a coat of arms / crest in Vectric Aspire using only built-in 3D clipart. The entire project is completed without cutting apart or deleting any clipart component, using grouping, levels, component properties, clipping, and mirroring instead.

Steps

1. Set up the job

   • Single-sided project.
   • Set job size as needed.
   • Set Z0 and place XY origin at the center of the workspace.

2. Create the base dome

   • Draw a 9-inch circle centered in the workspace.
   • Select the closed vector and create a shape
