Cannot Create Boundary Vector in the Vectric Software
Overview
Section titled “Overview”This video explains why the “Create Boundary Vector” command fails in Vectric Aspire when a 3D component is present but not selected, and how to resolve the error.
- Ensure you have a 3D component in the 2D or 3D view.
- Select the component you want to use for boundary creation.
- Click the Create Boundary Vector icon.
- The boundary vector is created around the selected component.
Key Points / Warnings
Section titled “Key Points / Warnings”- If no component is selected, you will see: “No selected components” when clicking the icon.
- If nothing is present in the 2D or 3D view, you will get: “Cannot create boundary vector without anything in the 2D or 3D view.”
- Even if a component exists in the project, it must be explicitly selected before creating a boundary vector.
