Overview

Steps

1. Explore the modernized user interface – Notice the enhanced DPI scaling for sharper visuals, especially on high-resolution displays.
2. Define keep out zones (Pro versions) – Draw vectors around obstacles such as clamps, jigs, or fixtures. Assign these vectors as keep out zones in the toolpath to prevent rapid moves from the home position or between cuts from colliding with those obstacles.
3. Draw directly in the 3D view – Use many drawing tools directly on the 3D model. Modify shape properties interactively using on‑shape handles to reduce form‑based editing.
4. Toggle vector visibility – Use the dedicated button to instantly show/hide vectors, making it easy to check geometry alignment against the machined simulation.
5. Switch between perspective and orthographic views – Toggle orthographic view to inspect 2D objects over the 3D scene, such as comparing toolpath parts alongside the model.
6. Use the new interactive 3D view control – Click on view control faces or drag the control itself to quickly orient the job along desired axes and angles.
7. Configure view toolbar visibility – Quickly show or hide vectors, bitmaps, and toolpaths with single click buttons.
8. Import unified 2D data – Use the single import button for all vector and bitmap 2D data files.

Key Points / Warnings

• Keep out zones are only available in Pro versions of the software.
• If a toolpath intersects a keep out zone, the software will not allow you to save the toolpath – this is a safety guard, not just a warning.
