How to mirror objects in Vectric software | Transforming Objects

This video explains how to use the Mirror Selected Objects tool in Vectric software to mirror, flip, and create mirrored copies of vectors. It covers in-place flips, flips about the job center, flips about a selected line, and the relevant keyboard shortcuts.

Steps

Section titled “Steps”
  1. Select the object(s) you want to mirror.
  2. Open the Mirror Selected Objects tool.
  3. Use the direction buttons to mirror the selection:
    • Right – mirrors to the right
    • Bottom – mirrors downward
    • Left – mirrors to the left
    • Top – mirrors upward
  4. Enable Create mirrored copy to keep the original and create a mirrored copy instead of just flipping the selection.
  5. Use Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical to flip the selection in place.
    • Keyboard: press H for horizontal flip, V for vertical flip.
  6. Enable Flip about job center to flip the selection around the worksheet center instead of flipping in place.
  7. To mirror about an arbitrary line:
    • Select the object.
    • Hold Shift and click the line you want to mirror across.
    • Click Flip about lines.
    • Enable Create mirrored copy if you want to keep the original.
