How to draw an arc in Vectric software | Creating Vectors
Overview
Section titled “Overview”This video demonstrates how to draw an arc in Vectric software using the Create Vectors tools. It covers the three-point arc method, the center/start/end method, and how to draw an arc with precise coordinate and radius values.
Create an Arc Using Three Points
Section titled “Create an Arc Using Three Points”- Go to the Design tab.
- Under Create Vectors, click the Arc icon.
- Select the Through Three Points mode.
- Click to place the start point of the arc.
- Click again to place the end point.
- Move the mouse to adjust the curve/radius of the arc.
- Click to accept the arc.
Create an Arc Using Center, Start, and End
Section titled “Create an Arc Using Center, Start, and End”- With the Arc tool active, select Center, Start, End mode.
- Click to place the center point of the arc.
- Move the mouse outward and click to set the start point.
- Move the mouse to define the arc length, then click to set the end point.
- The arc is created.
Create an Arc with Precise Values
Section titled “Create an Arc with Precise Values”- Open the Arc tool and choose your desired creation mode.
- In the arc form, enter the start point coordinates, e.g.:
- X: 1
- Y: 1
- Enter the end point coordinates, e.g.:
- X: 9
- Y: 1
- Specify the Radius or Height of the arc, e.g.:
- Radius: 5
- Click Create to place the arc.
Key Points / Warnings
Section titled “Key Points / Warnings”- The Arc icon is located in the Create Vectors section of the Design tab.
- Use the left mouse button to place points.
- The two main arc modes are Through Three Points and Center, Start, End.
- In the precise values form, you must provide enough information: start point, end point, and either the radius or height.
- Press Ctrl + Z to undo an arc and try another method.
