Cannot Crop Bitmap Error Message in the Vectric Software

This video explains the “Cannot Crop Bitmap” error message in Vectric Aspire. The error appears when the software cannot perform a crop/trim operation because either the bitmap and a vector are not both selected, or the selected vector is not a closed shape.

  1. Select the bitmap/image you want to crop.
  2. Select the vector you intend to use as the trim boundary.
  3. Verify that the vector is a closed shape (no open endpoints).
  4. Run the crop/trim operation; the bitmap will be trimmed using the closed vector.
  • The error simply indicates that both a bitmap and at least one vector must be selected.
  • The vector used to trim the image must be closed.
  • If the vector is open, close it before attempting to crop.
  • This warning does not mean the software is malfunctioning; it is a selection/shape issue.
