Cannot Crop Bitmap Error Message in the Vectric Software
Overview
Section titled “Overview”This video explains the “Cannot Crop Bitmap” error message in Vectric Aspire. The error occurs when the required selection is incomplete or the trimming vector is not closed. The solution is to select both the bitmap and a closed vector before using the crop/trim function.
- Select the bitmap/image you want to crop.
- Select the vector that will be used as the trim boundary.
- Ensure both the bitmap and the vector are selected simultaneously.
- Verify that the selected vector is a closed shape (no open ends).
- Run the crop/trim command. The operation will now complete successfully.
Key Points / Warnings
Section titled “Key Points / Warnings”- The crop command requires both the bitmap and at least one vector to be selected.
- The vector used for trimming must be closed; open vectors will trigger the error.
- The error message is informational; it simply tells you what is missing or invalid in the selection.
