How to use the component tree in Vectric software | 3D Assembly
Overview
Section titled “Overview”This video explains how to use the Component Tree in Vectric software to control, organize, and preview 3D components. It covers levels, visibility, combine modes, base heights, and how the tree defines the composite model used for 3D toolpaths and previews.
- Open an existing file, such as the Apple example file.
- Go to the Modeling tab and locate the Component Tree on the left side of the screen.
- Review the default level and components. The job contains one level with two components: the apple and the panel.
- Click a component in the tree to highlight it and bring its 2D bitmap representation to the front.
- Use the checkboxes to hide or show individual components or entire levels.
- Rename levels/components with a slow double-click
